DeShawn Johnson
Head Engineer/Founder
After working as a sound engineer for event venues, indie record labels, and for himself freelancing, DeShawn decided to start a sound engineering business. A business where he can help artists while continuing his passion for audio engineering. Utilizing his past experience as a job coach, audio professional, social worker, administrator for large corporations, acoustic studies, and networking agent working with people in the United Kingdom and the USA. He decided to offer a new service to the audio community in his new home of Glasgow Scotland. One based on building relationships and connections as well as working to engineer top quality audio. With a passion and education in acoustic science, Psychology, social sciences, audio engineering, and communication, he started Nome House Studios. Utilizing over 8 years of audio science knowledge, two degrees in Social Sciences and Technology, as well as his musical and business knowledge gained from 20 years of being a musician, from orchestras to punk bands, to provide services rooted in uplifting others, challenging harmful norms in the audio industry, and help other achieve financial stability.
